How to use

Four steps to a perfect dal.

  1. 01

    Wash

    Rinse toor dal thoroughly 2–3 times in clean water.

  2. 02

    Soak (optional)

    Soak in water for 30 minutes for quicker cooking.

  3. 03

    Pressure cook

    Add 3 cups of water for 1 cup of dal. Cook for 3–4 whistles.

  4. 04

    Simmer & serve

    Mash lightly and simmer further. Add salt and spices to taste.

Tip · Add a pinch of turmeric while cooking for better taste and colour.
